On Friday, September 20, NYU Tandon and SEMPACT cohosted the Towards Equitable Progress in Transportation Workshop at the C2SMART Lab. Speakers and attendees included transportation equity stakeholders, such as representatives from DOT, MTA, NYMTC, MOCEJ, academic institutes, and advocacy groups.
Following breakfast and opening remarks by C2SMARTER Director Kaan Ozbay, the workshop kicked off with two presentation sessions:

Zilin Bian, Postdoctoral Associate, NYU, “Advancing Equity from New Angles: A Multi-Dimensional Approach to Accessibility and Reliability with Citibike NYC Case Study”
Mahdieh Allahviranloo, Associate Professor, CUNY, “Mobility Disparity Analysis for People with Physical Disabilities”
After the presentations, the workshop attendees broke out for group discussions focused on the materials they had just consumed.
To close out the day before lunch, Jerry He, Assistant Director of Research at SEMPACT, gave an overview of the research being conducted by the center.
