Equitable Commute Project Selected as NYSERDA Grant Finalist

The Equitable Commute Project (ECP), on which C2SMART is a core partner, has been selected as one of six finalists in NYSERDA’s Electric Mobility Challenge. As a finalist, the ECP is eligible to win one of three $7 million awards to help low-income essential workers in transit deserts commute and travel throughout the city.

C2SMART Research Helps Lead to Passage of NY State Legislation

Senator Brian Kavanagh and Assembly member Jo Anne Simon announced that their BQE Overweight Truck bill (S2740B/A2316) was signed into law by Governor Kathy Hochul. The new law authorizes a pilot program along I-278 in Brooklyn allowing for the installation of state-of-the-art, weigh-in-motion technology to issue violations electronically when trucks exceed the existing legal weight limits.

2022 C2SMART Center Research Solicitation

As C2SMART heads into its sixth year of projects, we are reshaping our RFP process to solicit a project slate which will be bigger and bolder than ever before. We are looking for projects which showcase possibility, addresses complex challenges, broadens collaboration, and directly strengthens the transportation field. This includes research and development projects, student-led initiatives, and non-traditional research in the form of workshops and workforce development.
