An applied mathematics scholar, Benedetto Piccoli’s research focuses on applying advanced mathematical methods to science, engineering, and health.

Masoud Ghandehari serves on the Faculty of Civil and Urban Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering and is an associate faculty at the NYU Center for Urban Science and Progress. His research focus is on urban systems engineering and the application of advanced instrumentation and data analysis targeting the aging, health, and performance of infrastructure systems.

Monica Menendez is an Associate Professor of Civil and Urban Engineering at New York University in Abu Dhabi and a Global Network Associate Professor of Civil and Urban Engineering at the Tandon School of Engineering in New York University. She is also the Director of the NYUAD Research Center for Interacting Urban Networks (CITIES).

Dr. Guillermina G. Núñez-Mchiri is Director of Women and Gender Studies and an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Texas at El Paso. Dr. Núñez received her Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California Riverside in 2006, her MA in Latin American Studies in 1998, and her BA in International Business in 1994 from San Diego State University.

Dr. Xuegang (Jeff) Ban is a Professor of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Washington. His recent research focuses on applying mathematical modeling tools and transportation principles to investigate the system effect of emerging technologies such as connected/automated vehicles and shared mobility.

Saif Jabari is an Assistant Professor of Civil and Urban Engineering at New York University in Abu Dhabi and also holds an appointment with New York University Tandon School of Engineering as Research Assistant Professor.
