Read MoreDaniel Malarkey has helped implement projects in transportation, technology, and energy in Pacific Northwest for over thirty years. For the UW’s Sustainable Transportation Lab, he works on research related to new mobility services including shared e-scooters and e-bikes, transportation network companies, and autonomous vehicles. He led Amazon.com’s online marketing team in the 1990s, helped launch two clean-tech start-up companies in the 2000s, and served as Deputy Director of the Washington State Department of Commerce during the implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. At Commerce, he provided leadership for the State Energy Office, the State Broadband Office, and the agency’s policy and research staff.
