Read MoreCharlie Mydlarz is a Research Assistant Professor in the Center for Urban Science and Progress at the Tandon School of Engineering, and the Music and Audio Research Laboratory at Steinhardt, NYU. He has been working in the field of urban sensor networks throughout his academic career. His experience covers: sensing using multiple modalities, sensor design, electrical engineering, data analysis, and computer science. He has led the sensing efforts on four large government funded research projects ranging from noise monitoring to urban flood detection.
He received his BSc in Audio Technology from The University of Salford UK in 2007 and went on to earn his doctorate in 2013 investigating human relationships to sound environments using mobile and internet technologies.
