ITE Met Section 2022 Virtual Career Fair and Speed Networking
March 30, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
The ITE Met Section is hosting a Virtual Career Fair event on Wednesday, March 30th at 12pm to 2pm. There will be a dozen tables open for speed networking, plus 10+ companies and organizations. The event will be hosted on virtual platform Gather.town, so please have your cameras on and be dressed to interview with some of the transportation engineering industry’s top employers in the New York metro area. All are welcome to attend, from jobseekers to transportation professionals looking to network with colleagues in the field. ITE members and non-ITE members looking to socialize with other members are encouraged to attend. All individual participants and firm representatives should register with a free ticket. Firms and agencies requesting a virtual career fair booth are also asked to register using the paid tickets below ($75 or $30 per booth depending on organization type). As in years past, this payment will be used to supplement existing funds set aside for the Pignataro student scholarship award and the new DEI scholarship award.
Virtual Speed Networking: from 12pm to 1pm, participants will be encouraged to circulate every five minutes amongst virtual tables for a stimulating conversation. Each virtual table will have an informal mentor stationed at the table to kick off and lead the discussion. There are 8 rounds of speed networking planned for participants, and participants are encouraged to approach mentors and other participants after the speed networking rounds conclude for additional informal networking. If you are an ITE member interested in informal mentoring (being stationed at a virtual table), please select the checkbox when registering for the event, and ITE will follow up with you with additional information.
Virtual Career Fair: There will be 10+ companies attending the virtual career fair at their branded virtual booths. Attendees should please keep your cameras and microphones on and be ready and dressed for interviews. Companies have been encouraged to provide videos, resume drop-off links, job descriptions for open positions, and other materials for their virtual booths. Each company will also be encouraged to send company representatives to speak over video with attendees (company representatives please register separately with an attendee ticket to receive the link to the virtual Gather space). There are also several private virtual spaces provided for private conversations. If your company is interested in a virtual booth, please register for a booth using the career fair booth ticket registration below.
